ClawIDE v1.1 brings deep Claude Code configuration management, a command palette, and broad platform improvements. This release includes 33 commits since v1.0.0.

Added

  • Agent Management: Full CRUD for Claude Code agents with global and project-level scoping. Create, edit, delete, and move agents between scopes directly from the sidebar. Agents are stored as .md files with YAML frontmatter in .claude/agents/ directories.
  • MCP Server Management: Configure and control Model Context Protocol servers with process lifecycle management (start/stop/restart), real-time status monitoring, and a built-in log viewer. Supports global and project-scoped configurations via .mcp.json.
  • Skills Management: Create, edit, and organize Claude Code skills — reusable slash commands stored as SKILL.md files. Supports scope management, version tracking, model preferences, and tool restrictions.
  • Command Palette: VS Code-style unified command palette with dual modes — file search (Cmd+P) and command execution (Cmd+Shift+P). Includes fuzzy matching, 30+ built-in commands for text transformation and line operations, recent history tracking, and keyboard navigation.
  • Clone from Git: New project type in the wizard — clone a repository by URL with optional branch, depth, and directory name. Supports GitHub, GitLab, Gitea, and any Git remote.
  • Markdown Preview: Live preview for .md files in the file editor with GitHub Flavored Markdown, syntax-highlighted code blocks via Highlight.js, and Mermaid diagram rendering.
  • File Rename: Rename files and folders directly from the file browser with path validation and directory traversal protection.
  • Preferred Editor: Select and launch an external code editor (VS Code, Sublime Text, vim, etc.) from within ClawIDE. Auto-detects available editors on the system.
  • Open in File Explorer: Open project directories in the system’s default file explorer from within ClawIDE.
  • Windows Support: Added psmux as a terminal multiplexer for Windows, auto-selected when running on Windows. Use --multiplexer psmux to override on any platform.
  • Session Auto-Creation: Opening a project with no existing sessions automatically creates a default session, eliminating the extra click.
  • MCP Hook Integration: Claude Code notifications now use MCP server integration instead of bash hooks for improved reliability.

Changed

  • Localhost Binding: ClawIDE now binds to localhost by default instead of 0.0.0.0. Use the new --mobile flag to bind to all interfaces for LAN/mobile access.
  • Branch Support: Improved git branch handling beyond the main branch across worktrees and feature workspaces.
  • Sidebar Behavior: Fixed and improved sidebar collapse/expand behavior for a smoother UX.

Fixed

  • Terminal Copy: Fixed clipboard copy when tmux mouse mode is enabled.
  • Sidebar Collapse: Fixed sidebar state persistence and animation when collapsing/expanding.

[1.0.0] — 2026-03-04

The v1.0 release marks ClawIDE’s graduation from early preview to a stable, full-featured IDE for managing Claude Code sessions. This release includes 48 commits since v0.1.4 with major new features, a Docker UI overhaul, and significant UX improvements.

  • New File/Folder Creation: Create files and folders directly from the file tree UI.
  • Collapse/Expand Toggle: Button to collapse or expand the entire file tree sidebar.
  • Sidebar Shortcuts Panel: Quick-access panel in the sidebar for common actions.
  • Tamagotchi Crab Mascot: Animated crab companion on startup and shutdown screens.
  • Favicon: Custom favicon for the browser tab.
  • ASCII Banner and QR Code: Startup console shows an ASCII art banner with the server URL and a QR code for mobile access.
  • Non-Starred Projects Dropdown: Projects not starred are accessible via a dropdown on the dashboard bar.
  • Version Popover: Update check icon now shows a version popover.

Changed

  • Docker UI Overhaul: Merged Docker and Ports tabs into a single card-based view with healthcheck indicators, inline log streaming, and prominent action buttons.
  • Notes Refactor: Notes now support folders, drag-and-drop reordering, and title-based filenames. Notes are project-scoped.
  • Bookmarks Refactor: Removed star/InBar mechanism — root-level bookmarks now automatically populate the bookmarks bar.
  • Settings Link: Moved to the bottom of the sidebar, below system stats.
  • Mobile Editor: Added word wrap, sidebar collapse, and command palette for mobile devices.
  • Project Listing: Hidden files and worktree directories are excluded from the project listing.
